Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.75 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 946 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and occasional thunderstorms with high amounts of moisture are expected to move through the area this afternoon and tonight.
